The man died in a single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon. He lost control of his car on West Lake Goodwin Road, police say.
LAKE GOODWIN — A man, 21, died Saturday and a teenage girl was injured after he crashed near Lake Goodwin.
Around 2:30 p.m., the man was driving in the 14900 block of West Lake Goodwin Road when he lost control, Snohomish County sheriff’s detectives found. He left the roadway, hit several rocks and crashed into a power pole, according to a news release sent Monday. The impact ejected him from the vehicle.
Deputies found the man dead at the scene. A passenger, a 15-year-old girl, was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with minor injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased.
The road was closed for hours while detectives investigated the crash.
